چکیده

Introduction One of the environmental factors that precipitates and exacerbates mental illnesses, including depression, anxiety disorders, and substance abuse, is repeated life stress. For example, homotypic stressors that occur on a daily basis, such as poverty or medical problems, are associated with increased depressive symptoms [1]. Not everyone exposed to stress has pathological consequences. The factors that protect against the “allostatic” load of repeated stress include: an ability to habituate to the stress, maintenance of hedonic tone and reward in the face of stress, and extinguishing of fearful memories [2]. It is clear from preclinical studies that CB1 receptor signalling increases sensitivity to reward [3] and is critical for the extinction of aversive memories [4]. Similarly, data is accumulating to support a role for the endocannabinoid system (ECS) in reducing stress responsivity, including a decrease in endocrine and behavioural responses to the initial presentation of the stress and in the development of habituation. P 117: Endocannabinoid System as a Novel Therapeutic Target in Epilepsy

Endocannabinoid (ECB) system plays a vital role in responses to stress. Moreover, ECB and its receptors cause anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidative and neuroprotective effects by modulating neuronal, glial and endothelial cell functions. A number of studies have demonstrated ECB system notably defects in neurotraumatic and neurodegenerative diseases like epilepsy, TBI, Alzheimer’s disease and...

Commentary: Comment on the Effect of Endocannabinoid System on Rat Behavior

I read the recently published article in Vol 6 (3) of Basic and Clinical Neuroscience entitled “Study the Effect of Endocannabinoid System on Rat Behavior in Elevated Plus- Maze” by Komaki et al. (2015). In this valuable article, the authors uncovered the effects of AM251 as a CB1 receptor antagonist on anxiety-like behaviors of rats using elevated plus-maze

Study the Effect of Endocannabinoid System on Rat Behavior in Elevated Plus-Maze

Introduction: Previous studies have shown that cannabinoidergic system is involved in anxiety. However, there are controversial reports in the experimental studies. The aim of this study is to evaluate the effect of pharmacological stimulation or blocking of CB1 receptors and inhibition of endocannabinoid degradation in anxiety like behavior in elevated plus-maze (EPM) test in rat. The EPM is o...

Endocannabinoid System and TRPV1 Receptors in the Dorsal Hippocampus of the Rats Modulate Anxiety-like Behaviors

Objective(s) Fatty acid is amide hydrolase which reduce endogenous anandamide. Transient receptor potential vanilloid-1 (TRPV1) channels have been reported to have a role in the modulation of anxiety-like behaviors in rodents. In the present study, the effects of either endocannabinoid system or TRPV1 channels and their possible interaction on anxiety-like behaviors of the rats were explored. ...

میزان تأثیر سه روش تمرینی وامانده ساز هوازی، بی‌هوازی و مقاومتی بر سیستم اندوکانابینوئید در مردان جوان: یک کارآزمایی بالینی

Background and Objectives: One of the most common challenges for human physiological system is exercise. Therefore, the aim of this study was determining the effect of different types of exercise on endocannabinoid system agents such as anandamide (AEA) and 2-arsidonyl glycerol (2-AG). Materials and Methods: In this clinical trial study, 32 young men (19-25 years old) volunteered from among st...

بررسی وضعیت استرس اکسیداتیو و غلظت اندوکانابینوییدهای سرم در افسردگی پس از زایمان

Background: Approximately 50% to 80% of women experience varying degrees of postpartum depression. Oxidative stress is involved in many diseases, including depression. Common production of lipid peroxidation by oxidative stress is malondialdehyde (MDA). The endocannabinoid system is a nervous regulator and convoy the impression that the circulatory levels of endocannabinoid is significantly red...
